Tyler Lynn won the Pro 450 class at WORCS’ rain-hit Battle in the Sand GP in Mesquite, Nevada, as the series moved toward its final round. The October 9–11 weekend produced wins for SLR Honda in both motorcycle Pro classes, with Sam Pretscherer taking Pro 250. The organizer published its motorcycle race report on October 16. [1] [3]
Lynn moved ahead after the opening lap and stayed in control through worsening conditions. Dare Demartile finished second in Pro 450, ahead of Giacomo Redondi. Championship leader Mason Semmens encountered a mechanical problem and had to push his motorcycle back, eventually salvaging fifth. WORCS reported that Semmens retained the lead but that the title fight had tightened. [1]
Pretscherer’s Pro 250 victory came after he passed early leader Cole Zeller on the third lap. Zeller finished second, with Colton Aeck third. There was also a championship celebration in Women’s Pro: Lauren Woods won and wrapped up the 2026 title, making it back-to-back championships. Her result supplies a settled title story amid the remaining battles. [1]
A strong run for SLR Honda
For SLR Honda, the Mesquite results followed another two-class success at the Rabbit Run GP. The organizer’s September 30 report described Lynn and Pretscherer winning their respective Pro categories at Bunker Hill MX. In Pro 450, Lynn passed Semmens around the halfway point of the 90-minute race, with Semmens second and Demartile third. That earlier result provides useful context for Lynn’s latest victory: the team arrived in Nevada with recent success already behind it. [2]
The Rabbit Run report also underlined the physical demands of the closing stretch. Bunker Hill’s 5.5-mile lap included deep, rutted sand, and its Pro races ran for 90 minutes. Lynn’s move around the halfway point is a useful detail: that victory was built across an extended race, with the leading three riders staying close rather than the result being settled by the opening lap. [2]
The remaining stop is the La Paz Desert Showdown at La Paz County Fairgrounds in Parker, Arizona, scheduled for November 6–8. That leaves the championship heading to a different venue for its last weekend rather than repeating the Mesquite test. Fans should use the official event information for the final timetable and entries as the date approaches. [3]
