Nicolò Alvisi will race the 2027 EMX250 Championship with Venum Bud Racing Kawasaki after signing a multi-year agreement. Kawasaki published the confirmation on October 16, pairing a rider with European titles in smaller classes with a team that has recently turned its development program into championship success. [1]
Bud Racing won the EMX250 crown with Mathis Valin in 2024 and Francisco García in 2026. Team owner Stéphane Dassé described Alvisi’s longer-term development toward MX2 as the objective of the partnership. The immediate commitment is to EMX250 in 2027, giving Alvisi another season in the European category before any future world championship step. [1]
The results behind the move
There is a useful benchmark in the season just completed. MXGP’s official Türkiye finale report lists Alvisi sixth in the 2026 EMX250 standings with 236 points. García finished on 496, while fellow Bud Racing rider Jake Cannon took third in the championship on 358. At the final round, García and Cannon finished first and second in both races. [2]
Alvisi’s previous title showed how he handles a very different kind of pressure. At the 2025 EMX125 finale in Lommel, he recovered from a difficult opening moto to finish sixth, leaving him only one point ahead of Mano Faure before the last race. He then finished second in the decisive moto to secure the championship by 11 points. [3]
The move brings together a rider who has closed out a tight title fight and a team coming off a strong 250 campaign. For Alvisi, the next measure will be how the partnership translates into consistent front-running results. For Bud Racing, 2027 provides another test of the development approach behind its recent European titles. [3] [2] [1]
