The SMX League announced its expanded SMX Next World All-Star Championship on November 3. For 2027, a 25-rider field will contest five Supercross and five Pro Motocross events. The fifth race in each discipline is its Showdown; points across all ten regular-season events seed the postseason. [1]
How riders reach the field
The qualifying Majors are Spring A Ding Ding, Ricky Carmichael Amateur Supercross, Mammoth Motocross, Loretta Lynn’s, Ponca City and Mini O’s. Top-three 250A finishes qualify, except Loretta’s takes five. The release sets a maximum of 20 finish-position qualifiers and at least five invitations. Results earned in 2026 apply to the 2027 field. [1]
The next step is a separate selection
The top 15 in combined regular-season points advance automatically to the postseason World All-Stars at SMX Playoffs 1 and 2. Up to three prospects can come from SMX Next Australia’s combined points, with four invitations completing the announced 22-rider postseason field. [1]

Our practical takeaway is to plan the year before the year you want to race. Keep your results, eligibility questions and invitation correspondence together, then confirm your status with the organizers before committing to travel. A qualifying finish and an invitation are different routes; neither should be assumed from a social post or a team rumor.
For a family following the sport, the combined calendar gives a useful reason to watch both disciplines. Our questions would be how a prospect adapts between stadium rhythm and outdoor motos, and whether their execution holds up as the season progresses.
