KTM's 2027 250 SX-F and 450 SX-F Factory Editions introduce revised frames, geometry and ergonomics with WP XACT closed-cartridge spring forks. The 250 gets a redesigned engine, oval throttle body and intake ports, top-feed injection, 15.5:1 compression and a 14,500 rpm limit. KTM's November 3 North American announcement says dealer availability begins in December. It lists no U.S. MSRP. [1]
Husqvarna's FC 250 and FC 450 Factory Editions likewise adopt new frames and WP XACT closed-cartridge spring forks, plus a revised shock/linkage arrangement. Its announcement highlights an all-new 250 engine and top-feed injection. Distinguishing equipment includes ProTaper handlebars, a GUTS seat cover and Rekluse outer clutch cover, with white and dark-blue styling. Husqvarna also says December dealer availability and gives no U.S. MSRP in the release. [2]
Read those as the announced packages, rather than a verdict on which bike is faster or easier to ride. Our comparison starts with shared priorities: front suspension, chassis behavior and the 250 engine. The differences worth checking in person are the contact points, included equipment and how each bike fits the rider. Matching headline changes do not establish identical settings or identical feel.
Before putting down a deposit, our checklist would be a written out-the-door quote, the exact model specification, expected delivery and the owner's maintenance requirements. For an existing owner, ask what the full change costs after setup. We have not ridden these models, measured their power or checked parts interchangeability; those questions need evidence beyond a launch announcement.
